Happy box

A little while ago I sold two pairs of my lightning bolts earrings to a lovely Australian girl. Weeks passed, we waited and waited and the lightning bolts never arrived to its destination.
It's an awful feeling to get an order lost in the mail, not to mention the fear of a disappointed costumer!

So what I did was to notify my lost parcel to Canada Post and replace my costumer's order. What I got in return was one of the best transactions I have got on Etsy. And I'm not talking about monetary transactions, I'm talking about one of those experiences that help you learn and at the same time let you know amazing people.

Helen, my Australian costumer, is the sweets girl. She was a total blessing because if this would have happened with maybe another costumer, probably it'd have been a very stressful situation. But she was so incredibly patience, kind and just so nice! I felt so grateful towards her for her patience and kindness.

And then, a couple days ago I received this :

(Oh, and that's the little one's hand that was so impatience of me, for taking photos instead of opening the box! hehehe she was behind me just asking me to open it!)

Is was a package send by Helen to say thanks for the earrings and replacing her order! I swear I felt like crying, in a good way, I was emotional to have got to know such a sweet person and know she was so happy for having business with me. I couldn't believe it.

Helen, thank you! you are amazing and, as I told you, every single detail in my "happy box" (as I call it now) describes how sweet, funny and kind you are!

For me every single thing was a treat, and that includes all the postage in the box as I LOVE postage and have a little collection :D

Wrapped gifts

Cards

Just AWESOME! (there were adorable illustrations, stickers and stamps everywhere!)

Sewing magazine and gorgeous japanese patterned fabric

Sweet Bestiary brooch

Tim Tam biscuits (Helen even gave me the instructions of the traditional way to eat them!)

Miam, delicious!!!

I'm sure I don't deserve this, as I just did what I feel is the right thing to do and never expected anything but having a happy costumer. I feel so lucky and grateful: Thanks Helen for sending me a box full of happiness!!

Shop Announcement

Check out this new picks i took of the packaging of my jewellery, This is the new way my clients receive their orders :)
At the beginning i sent the orders in just the blue keepsake bag, then i started to use a tiny white box to sent them. Now i got those beautiful brownish boxes and i'm very happy because they look gorgeous. I still send the blue felt little bag, handmade by me of course :) as a present for my costumers so they can keep their jewellery safe and pretty when they aren't using it.

Now i need your help: Which photo you think i should use for the etsy shop? which one you like the better?

Thanks for helping me out! Another thing i wanted to tell you is that at last, we are going to Mexico in two weeks and i'll close my shop from November 26 to, maybe the last week of December. Just wanted to put it out there :)

This is how my jewellery will be packaged when deliver to the client. Beautiful, isn't it?
:D
I hand sew the little bags, the buttons are vintage, i then used the rain drop stamp i carved yesterday to put those little rain drops on them. The illustration came out really nice (i'm even thinking to use them for the banner of my shop but i don't know if i want to change it this soon), i totally love it.
Hope you do too :)

Working on the packaging of my jewellery

This are pictures from my "studio" tonight (i don't even have a desk! this is our coffee table!) where i was working on the packaging of my jewellery, so i'll be prepared to ship right away whenever i made my first sale :)
I design it this weekend and i'm so very happy with the results, it looks beautiful and very professional, i would say! I'll show you how it looks all put together as soon as i take some pictures :)

Another fun thing (fun for me) is that i carved my first stamp today!! it was so much fun, i love it and i'm afraid i'll be hooked on stamp carving for a while now :) I followed an on-line tutorial from an awesome blog and learn so much (i'm preparing a blog post about that and then i'll give you the link so you can check it out). I carved the two sets of rain drops you can see in these pictures, and stamped them on fabric with textile painting.

And look at my flowers! so beautiful. The lady who lives downstairs gave them to us. She cut them from a tree they have downstairs. Gorgeous flowers and they smell really good at night.
I'll go to bed now, good night and thanks for reading!
