Apple blossoms

More like Spring, Montreal is looking very summery: It's been so sunny and warm! And the trees have leaves now! the world is looking green again and that always makes me happy.

We went to an apple orchard this past weekend in hopes to see the apple blooms and although several trees had flowers already, most of them were not quite there yet. Regardless, it was such a beautiful day and we took photos of the blossoms and also enjoyed walking up a little hill under the bright new leaves of the maple forest.

I hope your weekend was nice and that you feel ready to start your week. Have a lovely Monday!

On photos as objects and Marie Antoinette.

I remember when photos where real objects and we used to put them in photo albums like great treasures. Now in the digital era, I only see my images on the computer. I have to confess that, now that I enjoy so much using photo apps on my phone, my old, gorgeous cameras don't get much use these days and that's so sad!

Anyways, I have decided I don't want to neglect real photos anymore and yesterday I ordered a bunch of prints and let me tell you, I'm sooo excited to get them!

When I was going through photos to send to print I came across the photos from our visit to France last year and I fell in love all over again. I enjoyed so much every place we visited but one of the places that stole my heart was Versailles. It was one of those perfect days, you know? those days when just everything seems right, the wind, the light, the people with you, the place. Those days that stuck in the memory mixed up with comforting, content feelings.

Also, Versailles is so interesting to me as one of my favorite historical figures of all times is Marie Antoinette and get to walk through the places she once walked was incredible. I'm going to post some photos here of Marie Antoinette apartments in Versailles and while Louis XV furniture and style is absolutely not my type, I still enjoyed so much looking at the details as you'll notice in my pictures :)

I hope you like this first part of my photos (next is Marie Antoinette Villette)!
