And I think this is the very first time I organize a giveaway of my jewelry so it's pretty special guys: I'm always thinking on making giveaways but for some reason or the other the idea get lost on my mind but this time shit just got real!

I really am!

This is the beautiful textile illustration by Cara Carmina I won a couple weeks ago and I'm over the moon, I love it!!

There, you can see me, the little one and husband holding hands and the little bunting says "corazones" which literally means 'hearts' but in this context it's something like 'loved ones' :)

I'm so happy it now lives on my wall and I'm very thankful to Norma, from Cara Carmina for making such a special, beautiful and unique piece of art for me!!

I can't believe i won an awesome giveaway!!! Gosh i'm starting to believe i'm such a lucky person ;)

Over the week i won a wonderful customized textile card by Cara Carmina and couldn't be more happy. I can't wait to receive it as i'm sure it'll be just amazing as everything Norma, from Cara Carmina creates! To participate we had to tell a bit about our personal love story at her blog and the stories people told were very sweet :)

Norma is a Mexican girl living in Montreal; She is an illustrator and also makes fabric dolls, textile cards and paper collage dolls, among other awesome little things. She has an Etsy shop that is, to put it simply, amazing!

I "meet" her on etsy and i was happy to know we share nationalities, our current city and love for art! We haven't meet -yet- in person but i hope to do so very soon as we already are etsy/friends!

Souvenirs From Mexico Giveaway!!

You didn't think i came back from my vacation empty handed, right? well, i brought some souvenirs from our trip for one lucky reader!!

The first souvenir is a mini sarape, which is hand made in Saltillo. A sarape is kind of a blanket but may be as well something you'll wear as a shawl. It's very colorful and beautiful! The one i brought is mini, too small to wear but perfect for a place mat or to put it under your flower pots to add some cheerfulness to a room :D

The second souvenir it's a beautifully crafted woven bag/purse made of palm. You can use it as a cosmetic bag or to put in letters or small treasures ;) This bag is made by hand in Tabasco by local artisans/indigenous people, so it's a real treasure :)

The Gift

Have you seen all those wonderful pictures of beautiful packaging and gift wrapping and all that stuff lately? I've been hunting those images and drooling over them. I just found this new wave of packing hand made goods and gifts so adorable (visit my board "Empacando" on Pinterest to see what i'm talking about). This is my first attempt to beautifully pack something and i think it looks pretty good!

Can you guess what's inside? well, this lovely package is on its way to Ireland to Millie, the winner of my giveaway! So my lovely summer bunting is inside :D

As i'm not really sure when we are going to take off to Mexico and i had planed the giveaway for when i was supposed to return home, i decided i'm going to make the raffle sooner! (the truth is that i'm so excited about this giveaway i just can't keep waiting to know to whom i'm going to send my bunting!)

The new date is set for September 6th, that's in 4 days, yay!!! Maybe the winner will have this summer bunting on time for the last backyard barbecues or parties :)

The bunting measures 2.5 meters long (or 8.20 feet) and has 9 lovely fabric flags in 4 different patterns. Each flag measures 8 inches long. The colour combination is green, red, white and a bit of pink. It would look lovely on a kitchen, over your bed, on a nursery or in the garden.

This color scheme is very summery and i know summer is almost over, but that won't be a problem for those in tropical climates, and for the ones (like me!) living in more cold climates, it'll be a lovely reminder of those beautiful summer afternoons through the whole winter season!
